Sun PhuQuoc Airways: New Moscow–Phu Quoc Flights

A wide-body jet climbing over a tropical island coastline

A third direct carrier has joined the Moscow–Phu Quoc route. From 14 November 2026, Vietnamese airline Sun PhuQuoc Airways — a brand-new entrant on the Russian market — launches flights from Sheremetyevo on behalf of tour operator Anex. It's the latest chapter in direct flying to the island: Aeroflot opened the Moscow–Phu Quoc route earlier, and Vietjet added flights from regional cities. Anex has now doubled its overall seat capacity to Phu Quoc. Below: the schedule, the aircraft, traveller perks and what it means for tour prices. For the full picture on the destination, see our Vietnam overview.

What we know about the launch

The new airline was unveiled at an event in Moscow attended by Vietnam's ambassador to Russia and senior management from Anex and the Sun Group conglomerate, which owns Sun PhuQuoc Airways. The Phu Quoc–Moscow route is the carrier's first into continental Europe and one of the longest in its network to date. According to Anex representatives, load factors on the first flights already reach 80%, and the operator doesn't expect oversupply: capacity is matched to hotel inventory already sold on the island.

Sun PhuQuoc Airways' long-haul fleet is built around eight wide-body Airbus A330s — some are already flying, two more join by the end of December 2026, and the remaining four arrive by April 2027. Onboard there are three classes — economy, premium economy and business — with meals and drinks included across all fares. Business-class passengers get an increased baggage allowance of two carry-on items and two checked bags each.

Perks for travellers from Sun Group

Sun PhuQuoc Airways is part of the Sun Group ecosystem — Phu Quoc's largest resort infrastructure developer, behind Sunset Town and the world's longest overwater cable car, Sun World Hon Thom. Travellers who fly the new airline and stay at partner resorts (JW Marriott Phu Quoc, New World Phu Quoc Resort, Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort and others) get free access to the cable car, tickets to the evening "Kiss of the Sea" show, and a complimentary eSIM for the trip; guests at more modest hotels still get discounts on the same attractions. Perks are valid for 6 months from the flight date.

Price, visa and how to book

The starting price for a 7-night package for two at launch is from 255,800 roubles, staying at a 2-star hotel without meals; this is an early-November 2026 reference point, and prices vary by date and hotel. Sun PhuQuoc Airways seats are sold mostly as part of an Anex tour package — ask the tour operator or check the YuSMP Travel airlines section about a standalone ticket. Russian citizens don't need a visa for trips to Vietnam of up to 45 days — details are in our guide "Vietnam for Russian travellers: the complete guide", and payment options on the island are covered in "How to Pay in Vietnam".
